Tired of the Internet Fluff?

 

Anyone who is honest, anyone who has INTEGRITY, will tell you: it takes hard work to have ANY type of successful business on or offline. In the beginning you have to educate yourself. You have to be disciplined, wake up every day and do what it takes. If it was easy, EVERYONE would do it. If it was magic trick, EVERYONE would do it.

Starting an Internet business Is NOT EASY.Do you want to hear my success secret? It's how I was able to become a full time Internet Entrepreneur with no prior experience? I'll just fair warn you it is disappointing and VERY LAME and here it is..

There is no magic! There is no secret trick! There is no such thing as "easy street!"

Good, because that opening paragraph should have shaken off the deadbeats and I hope to be writing to a qualified entrepreneurs right now. If so I have a question for you…

Are you tired of all the Internet fluff? Yeah me too, the constant joker flashing cash on you tube videos, to the Ferrari driving "Rich Jerk," or one of my personal favorites, "$12 biz kit where you refer 3 and make $200,000. " RIDICULOUS! They have NO value and might as well be selling marketed up lottery tickets because all they are doing is selling hope with no substance.

Most people really don't believe they can make $200,000 with a $12 biz kit but there are countless reasons why people do want to have their own business today: volatile economy, job insecurity, career boredom, burnt-out or just to get out of debt.

So why do people actually buy into this garbage? Let's take a page from Perry Marshall's book. Perry said, "People don't buy a drill because they want a drill, they buy a drill because they want a hole so why not advertise the hole?" Pretty darn brilliant when you think about it. People want an easy solution and there are plenty of so-called coaches out there willing to become a cheerleader for quick and easy cash.

Now, if you know me, you know I don't candy coat things. SOME OF THE FAULT belongs to the people buying this nonsense. Why? Because they are allowing themselves to be sucked in by headlines about "overnight success", "no effort needed", "make millions without lifting a finger", "just use my secret tricks" and "ANYONE can do it with no real work necessary".

Here's a hint; Look to be overwhelmed because if you are not then there probably isn't that much potential there to begin with. You shouldn't be able to understand a new business model in 30 seconds, there should be layers of information and a process leading up to your success.

Sorry to come down so hard on a holiday I just came across one of these ads and I had to vent. Thanks for listening; I'm off to go for my annual Memorial Day surf..

    Yes bro, though you are being too nice by calling it ‘fluff’. Most of these people I think come from a network marketing background. But in a way I feel sorry for those that get sucked in. Unbelievable to me. I’m 12+ years into this industry, countless hours and I still don’t know how to ‘make money overnight’. In my world, money comes from persistence and unwavering commitment amidst many failures. They say that 10,000 hours of doing something makes you an expert in your field. What about 20,000+…does that make me a guru? Time will tell I guess.

    Love your passion man! Tell it like it is – Lasting success which is about having great results over time – takes dedication and persistence! To me Lasting success is the only kind of real success in our business. So the concept of overnight success is about the same as “reasonable attorney fees” – can’t be found!

    I would add too on the Perry Marshall drill/hole story is that as marketers and salespeople we must “drill down” further with our customers and prospects – the hole is NEVER the “whole” story – never really what they want – think about it – did you ever buy a drill to put a hole in a wall! LOL – Of course not – you bought it to hang something (a book shelf maybe) which isn’t even the result you want. You want to put things on it (not there yet) to clear your desk (keep going) so you can be more productive. (This is the real benefit/RESULT) people buy a drill for. As a professional – we can really add more value when we “Peel the Onion” to see the end benefit/RESULT people want!
